We provide an experience, not just a consult.
Let’s break it down…
Exercise: a type of physical activity consisting of planned, structured, and repetitive bodily movement performed to improve and/or maintain one or more components of physical fitness. (ACSM Physical Activity Guidelines, 2018)
Physiology: a branch of biology that deals with the functions and activities of life or of living matter (such as organs, tissues, or cells) and of the physical and chemical phenomena involved (Merriam-Webster dictionary)
Sound technical? Well, let us break it down even further into simpler terms and why we matter to you…
An Exercise Physiologist is a 4-year university degree qualified healthcare professional who is the specialist at utilising physical activity as a conservative treatment for managing chronic conditions (including pain management). We work with your GP, Specialist/s and other Allied Healthcare practitioners to provide both short and long-term management solutions based on your personal needs… see the SERVICES tab for a more in depth look at how we will help you.
With both male and female exercise physiologists practising from two clinic locations on the Central Coast, you’re spoilt for choice.
Don’t train on old unreliable equipment when you can be using the best.
Scientifically backed approach to chronic disease – and pain management provided by accredited allied health professionals.
Let’s face it, exercise can be hard. We make it easier by bringing the fun to the party!
“When I arrived at Phoenix Health & Fitness two years ago, it changed the course of my health. I have Multiple Sclerosis and had just finished chemo/radiation/operations for breast cancer. I was walking with a stick, but with the wonderful profession and friendly staff at Phoenix, they guided me through exercise and how to understand my body better. I don’t use a walking stick anymore and my balance has improved. I now go for walks on the beach and can walk up to 5 kilometres. Still improving!”
